Sebastian Klaes

received his degree as a certified librarian from the University for Applied Sciences in Cologne. His major was Information Technology in Libraries. In 2005/2006 he completed an internship semester at the university library of Exeter. For his degree dissertation Sebastian Klaes engaged in the topic "Public Libraries and Adult Education Schools - An Analysis of Cooperation by Means of Internship Examples." Before acceptance into the University for Applied Sciences Cologne program, he completed an apprenticeship as Technical Clerk for Media and Information Services (1999-2002) and worked in connection with this in a public library.

Since January 2008 he has been engaged at the Georg Eckert Institute and works primarily on the development of Information Services efforts as well as in the design of the service oriented IT-projects for the Institute. Furthermore, the care of the library website is incumbent upon him.
