Detlef Krummel

was born in 1961 in Oberlausitz. After an apprenticeship as a television technician in Straßfurt, he studied at the technical college in Mittweida. He has been employed in IT since 1985, of which more than 12 years have been in the private sector. His many years experience have now come to good use in public service as well: since November 1, 2004 Mr. Krummel has attended to IT at the Institute.

Data-processing also plays a meaningful role in his private life: he met his partner on-line and now lives with her and her two children in Braunschweig.

At home Detlef Krummel also gladly dedicates himself to conventional printed materials - not only in the area of technical literature - and materializes his Asian colored life philosophy by cooking with a wok.
