Lars Müller

MA, studied history and politics at the Technical University in Braunschweig, the University of Vienna and the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC). In 2008 he completed his studies with a MA thesis about the image of Africa in German history and geography textbooks from the Wilhemine Empire until the present day.

Prior to 2010, Mr Müller was a research assistant at the Georg Eckert Institute, where he took part in a project devoted to the comparison of teacher training in European countries (http://che.itt-history.eu/). He also worked for the Historiana Project (EUROCLIO), which is developing an online plattform to be used to present teaching materials about European issues (http://www.historiana.eu/).

Since January 2011, he has been working on a PhD thesis with a scholarship from the evangelical students‘ guild in Villigst.

PhD thesis (working title): In the Mirror of Africa. A Comparative Exploration ofGerman and English Textbooks from the Second World War to the Present Day .
