Daniel Stange
Daniel Stange, M.A., (born 1976) studied history, political science and philosophy at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen. From 2006 to 2008 he carried out postgraduate research in the German Science Foundation’s special research area 434, devoted to ‘Memory Cultures’ in Gießen. In addition to the history of East Africa in the twentieth century and colonial history, Stange specialises in the history of education in East Africa.
Since May 2009 he has been a fellow at the Georg Eckert Institute.

Daniel Stange is the coordinator and editor for the cooperative research project ‘Lost. in Translation – Images of Europe and Their Translations’ and for the digital edition of ‘EurViews’.
