Robert Strötgen

studied Social and Economic History, Sociology and Cultural Anthropology at the Universities of Bonn, Cologne and Hamburg from 1990-1996. He subsequently studied Information Sciences from 1996-1998 at the University of Konstanz. From 1999 he worked as a research associate in Bonn and played a part in the Infoconnex Project. He kept himself busy there with Technical Information Portals and matters of Content Development and Research, which he later pursed further in 2003 as a research fellow in the field of Information Sciences in Research and Teaching at the University of Hildesheim. As Project Manager he coordinated the Goportis Project for the Network of the German National Library of Science and Technology, the German National Library of Medicine and the German National Library of Economics, where he worked on, among other things, the creation of an internet portal for scholarly full text accommodation.

He has worked at the Georg Eckert Institute as an Information Scientist since June of 2008 on the interface between Scholarship, Library and Transfer and directs the Communication and Transfer Department.
