School textbook research/school textbook analysis
This sub-catalogue provides literature on the subject of school textbook research and analysis as well as school textbook analyses that have been published independently and otherwise.
In co-operation with the Universitätsbibliothek Braunschweig, the GEI is offering Search-Plugins for better research in the online catalogues of both institutes and the GBV (Gemeinsamer Bibliotheksverbund). After the installation, these plugins allow the user to search the online catalogues using a direct and easy key word search via the browser.
Databank-Infosystem (Datenbank-Infosystem, DBIS)
In addition to its own inventory the GEI Library also provides external resources for use over the Internet. The Databank-Infosystem (Datenbank-Infosystem, DBIS) is a cooperative service for the use of academic databases. This service was developed by the University Library of Regensburg with the financial support of the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts (Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst) and the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG).
Electronic Periodical Library (EZB)
The Electronic Periodical Library (Elektronische Zeitschriftbibliothek, EZB) of the University Library of Regensburg offers an overview of freely available trade publications. This service was realized through the financial support of the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts (Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst), the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF).
National Licenses for Electronic Media
In order to effectively improve the supply of electronic professional information to German institutes of higher education, research institutions and academic libraries, the German Research Foundation has financed the purchase of national licenses since 2004. With the national license project, digital media has been incorporated into the German Research Foundation's program for the nationwide provision of literature within the area of their special collection plan.
The goal is to make free of cost access to databases, digital text collections and electronic periodicals possible for scholars, students and academically interested individuals.
Free access to the databases is only available in the buildings of the Georg Eckert Institute.
