Christian Scheel is a research fellow at the Georg Eckert Institute and coordinates the project ‘Semantic Concepts in Textbooks’ (SemKoS). He was previously project coordinator for the International TextbookCat project, for which he is still responsible for maintenance and the integration of new data.
He studied computer science at the Technical University of Berlin. Through his work as a research fellow has always been involved in research and teaching in the field of information retrieval and is currently writing his doctoral thesis on this subject. His knowledge of search engine technology enables him to contribute to the constant improvement of the research infrastructure for textbooks at the Georg Eckert Institute.
