Sedef Neitmann joined the project ‘SemKoS – Semantic concepts in textbooks’ in September 2018.
Between 2010 and 2016 she studied European ethnology and folklore, and German, with a particular focus on the dissemination of literature, at Kiel University (CAU). During her studies she explored concepts of disability at the turn of the twentieth century as well as the modulation of nobility since 1945. She worked, while a student, for the Otto-von-Bismarck Stiftung where she was responsible for cataloguing museum exhibits.
During her traineeship in the Museum der Arbeit in Hamburg – supported by a museum grant for cultural diversity and migration from the Alfred Toepfer Stiftung F.V.S. - Sedef Neitmann worked on the content of special exhibitions and was responsible for communication between the designers and the museum departments. She also worked for the museum magazine’s editorial team.
