Katarina Batarilo
Dr., studied Educational Science and German Philology at the Universities of Heidelberg and Zagreb/Croatia. She completed her MA thesis on "Peace-building Curriculum Revision in Bosnia and Hercegovina". She wrote her PhD thesis on "Human Rights Education in Croatia's Formal School System - An Empiric Study".
From 2001 to 2006, she worked as a research fellow at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Volker Lenhart, Department of Educational Science/University of Heidelberg, where she was committed among others to the project "Peace-building Educational Activities in Armed Conflicts". In her special fields of research, she also acquired many practical experiences in several European countries, among others at the Italian Commission for UNESCO.
From March 2006 to August 2009, she worked as a research fellow at the Georg Eckert Institute, where she conducted the project on the coordination of textbook research, development and comparative studies in South-East Europe.
Since September 2009, she has worked as a research fellow at the Centre for Social Investment/University of Heidelberg.
