Service Projects

The Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research supervises the activities of various textbook commissions in the field of classical 'textbook revision'. These include the Franco-German, the German-Polish, and the German-Czech textbook commissions, as well as the German-Israeli textbook discussions of the 1980s or the discussions with representatives from the Netherlands.

The projects in Southeast Europe and in Israel-Palestine focus on the way in which teaching materials, and in particular educational media, treat ongoing or recent conflicts.
