Current Activities of the German-Polish Textbook Commission

•  Exhibition: Textbooks at the Crossroads of Science and Politics: 35 Years  German-Polish Textbook Commission

This bilingual exhibition uses banners and multimedia to present the history and the activities of the German-Polish Textbook Commission, and is available for hire from the Georg Eckert Institute.

The collection has so far been exhibited in Berlin (February-March 2007),  Braunschweig (April-May 2007), Wrocław (June-July 2007), Szczecin (October-November 2007), Poznań, (January-February 2008), Lublin (March 2008), Kraków (July 2008), Słubice (September 2008) and Olsztyn (October-December 2008).

• „History and neighbourhood. Transnational history as a challenge for historical research and history didactics" (History) and "Conflicts over land use between environmental protection and economic interests in Germany and Poland" (Geography)
  was dealt with at the XXXIIIth German-Polish Textbook Conference in 2009. The "Geography" section plans to publish a journal on the conference in 2012.
