Samira Alayan

Dr., studierte Erziehungssoziologie und Kriminologie an der Hebrew University of Jerusalem, im Forschungsfeld: "Arab Education in Israel; Examination of Good and Significant Learning Experiences from the Viewpoint of Arab Students in Israel". Sie studierte außerdem Education Leadership an der Mandel School for Development of Professional Leadership, Jerusalem. Von 1996 bis 1998 war sie als Lehrbeauftragte für Kriminologie und soziale Devianz an der Al-Quds University, von 1997 bis 2005 als Lehrerin/Lehrbeauftragte und Seminarfachleiterin in der Lehrerausbildung im David Yellin Teachers' College in Jerusalem tätig. Seit 2004 ist sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ihr Forschungsinteresse gilt Erziehungsfragen in der Arabischen Community innerhalb Israels.

Seit Juli 2006 ist sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Georg-Eckert-Institut.

Projekte

Am Georg-Eckert-Institut arbeitet Frau Alayan an der Analyse von Schulbüchern und Curricula im Fach Geschichte/Politik in zahlreichen arabischen Ländern, insbesondere Jordanien, Ägypten, Palästina und Libanon. Ziel des Projekts ist es, zum Dialog zwischen Deutschland und der arabischen Welt auf Bildungsebene beizutragen. Das Projekt befasst sich mit der Frage, wie Eigenbilder und Fremdbilder in Schulbüchern vermittelt werden, und untersucht die Erziehungsreformen im Nahen Osten. Das Vorhaben strebt den Austausch von Perspektiven und Narrativen zwischen Europa und der arabischen Welt an. Seit 2010 arbeitet Frau Alayan in Kooperation mit der Hebrew University of Jerusalem an einem Projekt über "Helden" in deutschen und israelischen Schulbüchern.
