Annual conference of the International Society for Research on Textbooks and Educational Media e.V.

The topic of this year’s IGSBi conference is ‘Search – Collate – Show – Learn – Research’ and will address aspects of collecting, cataloguing and displaying educational media. This includes diverse materials, in addition to textbooks, for learning and teaching in schools, such as educational posters, atlases, educational films and digital teaching materials. But also encompasses materials for non-school environments and adult education such as books for children and young people, textbooks for training courses and further education, guides in all media formats (e.g. magazines such as ‘Eltern’) and contemporay witness reports, which can deliver knowledge about specific historic events.

The conference contributions will address a range of aspects rrelating to collecting, collating and displaying educational media as well the the use of educational media collections for education and research
