Eckert. Expertise
The Georg Eckert Institute’s academic work is highly application orientated. The GEI’s research projects are developed through addressing concrete societal problems. Its research results are therefore highly relevant for society and its expertises are often the starting point and basis for further research. „Schulbuch Geschichte. Ein deutsch-polnisches Projekt – Empfehlungen“ (Textbook History. A German Polish Project: Recommendations) is the first in the institute’s new series, “Eckert. Expertise”. The series aims to be a forum for the presentation, documentation and discussion of important research results. The series is based on academic research and addresses decision makers in (education) policy, pedagogy and an interested public. The words best used to describe the new format are: topicality – research orientation – practical relevance.
Older expertises and assesments which were not published in the series "Eckert. Expertise":
"Modern Europe“ versus "Antiquated Islam“ – the Portrayal of Islam and Muslims in European Textbooks
