Books can generally be borrowed for 4 weeks at a time. You can renew materials once online by logging into our online catalogue, or by writing an e-mail to ausleihe(at)leibniz-gei.de. Please read the user account information. Journals, and books in the reference-only section may not be removed from the library. The library participates in the inter-library loan service. If you wish to view the historic collection (pre-1871 textbooks and pre-1945 reading primers) please contact us at ausleihe(at)leibniz-gei.de prior to your visit.

In order to obtain one please hand in a completed application form to the staff at the desk and show your identity card or passport. The application form may be filled out on one of the PCs in the library and printed free of charge.
We make a charge of EUR 5.00 to issue the library card (in accordance with the Georg Eckert Institute regulations). It is valid for one year, but can be extended without charge by showing your identity card or passport
