Klára Hošková: Erinnerung, Identität und Demokratiekultur. Historische Bildung in Tschechien als Spiegel des Wandels nach 1989

What is the role of history education in democratization processes? Using the example of the Czech Republic, this volume examines how historical education became a projection screen for social negotiations during the post-dictatorial transformation. To this end, it examines the changes of historical images and didactic concepts in Czech textbooks and didacticized films after 1989.
