Information Regarding Your User Account

You can access your user account by selecting “Borrower Information” from the menu near the top of the screen in the Georg Eckert Institute’s online catalogue

  • To access your account enter your library card number and your password.
    • Your password consists of 6 numbers and is made from your date of birth in the format DDMMYY. (Example: 23 December 1983, password: 231283)
  • The following information is then available to you: data, loans, reservations, costs.
  • You may also select the password option to change your current password.
    • We recommend that you change the default password after activating your user account.

Remember to always close the browser window/tab when you have finished, to prevent misuse of your data.

The library closes at 1 pm on Friday, 17th April,  2026 for internal reasons.
