Dr. Aline Muff

Dr. Aline Muff ist seit Juni 2026 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Projekt EFREC in der Abteilung Internationale Schulbucharbeit am Georg-Eckert-Institut. Ihre Forschungsbereiche umfassen Citizenship Education, politisch-historische Bildung in Konfliktgesellschaften, Fragen von Identität und Diversität in der politischen Bildung sowie politische Lern- und Lehrprozesse, insbesondere in marginalisierten und unterdrückten Communities. Zudem arbeitet sie mit qualitativen und partizipatorischen Forschungsmethoden.

Ihre aktuelle Forschung konzentriert sich auf Prozesse und Herausforderungen der internationalen Bildungsmedienproduktion und darauf, wie Bildungsmaterialien Lernende besser mit schwierigem und kontroversem Wissen konfrontieren und ihre Lernprozesse nachhaltig prägen können.

Zuvor war sie als Postdoktorandin an der Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2021–2025) und an der University of Haifa (2020–2021) tätig. An der Hebrew University of Jerusalem forschte sie mit Dr Aviv Cohen in einem partizipativen Forschungsprojekt zu politischem Lernen unter Jugendlichen in marginalisierten Communities in Tel Aviv und Jaffa. In Haifa untersuchte sie gemeinsam mit Prof. Ayman Agbaria die Perspektiven palästinensischer Lehrkräfte auf die Verschränkungen und Divergenzen von Islam und Politikunterricht.

In ihrer Promotion an der Queen’s University Belfast (2014–2019) erforschte sie, wie Schülerinnen und Schüler, Lehrkräfte und politische Entscheidungsträger aus unterschiedlichen Communities in Nordirland und Israel Staatsbürgerschaft und Identität im Fach Citizenship Education verstehen und verhandeln.
